The Greater Bristol Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. (VNA) is an independent, non-profit, certified Home Health Care Agency.

We provide care, on a part-time basis, to residents of the Greater Bristol area who are in need of Nursing, Homemaker, Home Health Aide, Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapy and Medical Social Services.

Our Registered Professional Nurses administer treatments per physicians' orders such as injections, dressings, and irrigations. They provide nursing rehabilitation and medication instruction.

We teach nutrition and explain special diets prescribed by a patient's physician.

We coordinate care, communicate with physicians, plan for the provision of other services, and identify and refer the patient to other agencies as needed.

Our Registered Professional Therapists provide therapy for rehabilitation.

Our Social Workers provide counseling in the home during trying times for those with problems relating to illness.
 
Our Home Health Aides provide assistance with professional hygiene including bathing, grooming and light housekeeping.

Hospice Services are offered to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families in the final stages of a terminal illness.
